About
Jason Patterson is an American Drummer/Music Director from the Bronx, New York. His family noticed at the age of 3 his fondness towards drums and purchased a little toy drum set, then eventually getting a real kit realizing his seriousness for the instrument. Despite not having any formal training, he taught himself by watching drummers in church and listening to records and tapes. He adds that growing up in the Bronx, Gospel, Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Calypso, Jazz and Latin music could be heard anywhere. With an open ear, he practiced to these genres daily and learned to adapt quickly. 

Jason has had the privilege of performing with artists such as Union Baptist Church (Testimony), Tyrone Birkett (In the Fullness of Time & Postmodern Spirituals), Charlie Daniels, Kenny Loggins, Maiysha (UnderCover), Swizz Beatz, Monique Bingham, Stevie Wonder, Michael McDonald, Darius Rucker, David Foster, Sting, Chris Botti, Alyson Williams, Me'lissa Morgan, Micki Howard, Cheryl Pepsii Riley, Monifah, Howard Hewitt, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Cee-lo Green, House of Pain (tour), Mighty Real a Sylvester story (musical director/Broadway Musical) and more. 

Some of Jason's influences includes his childhood mentors who he watched in church, Tom Griffin, Wendell Kelly & Juan Kelly. His favorites include Will Kennedy, Nathaniel Townsley lll, Jeff "Lo" Davis, Gerald Hayward, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Omar Hakim, Gary Novak, John "Jabo" Starks, Clyde Stubblefield, Chris Dave, Stevie Wonder, and many others.
