About

Rob Mount (born February 3, 1968 in Rochester, NY) started drumming at the age of 7, studying percussion at The Hochstein School of Music in his hometown of Rochester, NY under the instruction of famed Chuck Mangione drummer Vincent Ruggiero. From there Rob also studied percussion at The Eastman School of Music, as well as Music Education at Nazareth College. During his teens Rob also picked up the guitar, and it was common to see him walk out of a drum lesson and walk right back into another room for a guitar lesson.

Over the last 30 years Rob has recorded and toured in various bands and projects with members of Anvil, Overkill, Annihilator and Liegelord, as well as the band Thick As Thieves, who had releases in Japan, as well as many other artists – in addition to also teaching drums on and off since 1990.

Rob is currently on tour as the drummer for Lou Gramm – the original voice of the band Foreigner. For more information on Rob, including news, music, and social media links, check out his website at www.robmount.com.
