Scotty Schultz is a native of St. Paul, Mn. Growing up in a very musical family Scotty was on stage at an early age, first singing with the family band and eventually moving to the drum set. He attended McNally Smith College of Music and graduated in 1999. Scotty cut his teeth in the Minneapolis music scene with Pop, Indie, and Blues bands playing locally and touring the midwest. In 2007 Scotty moved to Nashville and quickly established himself on the scene as a solid pocket, high energy, up and comer. In 2013 Scotty joined Shooter Jennings on his Gunslinger Tour and remains in the drum chair with Shooter to date. Over 2013 Scotty played 80 shows with Shooter ranging from The Grand Ole Opry to The Bowery Ballroom to Gorge Amphitheater and the tour culminated with the release of "The Other Live", a new live Shooter recording recorded during the 2013 tour. He also had the opportunity to back the legendary Jessi Colter at Cain's Ballroom, a set that has also been released as a live record. 2014 looks to be a busy year as both recording sessions and tour dates start to stack up. Scotty is a smiling, driven, high energy player who brings his experience and leadership to the stage each night. From Rock and Country to Blues, Jazz, and Indie bands, he is well versed in his craft.
