It's out!  A quintessential memoir of one of the Jazz world's most swinging drummers, beautifully written by his niece Maria Judge.  We at Regal Tip have many fond memories of our years working with Jake from the early sixties when he was the first drummer to endorse our drumsticks.   But this book is full of stories from his associates and fellow musicians, such as Roy Burns and Woody Herman, all of which reveal a great deal about Jake's playing style, philosophy and humor.  A great read already getting great  reviews:
